Purpose

The purpose of the Artificial Intelligence in Pathology (AIPATH) IWG is to enable applications of AI in pathology at every step of the journey of tissue — from laboratory workflow, viz. sample acquisition and processing, to offering diagnosis, determining prognosis, predictive analytics, and analysing and integrating enormous and complex datasets across the various diagnostic divisions of pathology.

Objective & scope

Adoption of digital pathology (DP) and AI applications in oncopathology for improved patient outcomes in cancer care, education, training of the workforce and translational research.

We aim

  • To seamlessly integrate state-of-the-art DP technologies into cancer care.
  • To foster collaboration, innovation and responsible implementation of digital solutions in oncopathology.
  • To create and facilitate awareness, and impart education about the adoption of DP and AI applications in oncopathology.
